My name is Deborah O'Brien and I have studied and been certified as an Usui/Tibetan Reiki master instructor and practitioner and a certified and registered Karuna® Reiki master teacher and practitioner offering my services to Portland, Salem, Corvallis, Eugene, the coast and other areas in the beautiful state of Oregon and southern Washington. 

 I offer treatments either in my healing studio in NW Portland or in your home with my portable reiki table .

I provide Reiki attunements and training for Usui levels 1 & 2,  Usui/Tibetan Advanced Reiki Training (ART) and Master Level, Karuna® Reiki practitioner levels 1 & 2 and Karuna® Reiki Master levels 1 & 2.  The attunement is a sacred ceremony that provides a "tuning" with the use of symbols so a person may be more open to receive and direct the light energy to be able to give Reiki to themselves and others.  Classes can be taught in either individual or group settings.

What is Reiki? Reiki is a Japanese form of stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is based on the Asian concept of life energy and is done by laying on hands. A subtle energy flows from the hands of the practitioner into the client, and it's this energy that creates the relaxation and healing effect. Reiki sessions are usually given while lying on a massage table fully clothed or while sitting in a chair. The sessions can last anywhere from 15 minutes to 1 hour. It is given with a light touch of laying on hands to guide the energy. It can also be given at a distance over the phone which is just as effective.
